FAQs

Why am I getting a letter for weeds but my neighbor is not?

All homes (including vacant and foreclosure homes) with weeds or other violations receive letters.  The homeowner may be choosing to ignore the letter or fine, but they are not being skipped over or given special treatment.

Why is the front entrance not being fixed?  Why are the pecan trees dead, or not being removed?  Why are the lights not bright at the entrances?

We have reached a settlement agreement in the litigation concerning the front entrance.  You will begin seeing construction to improvement the area along Gantzel.

Why don’t we have recycling here?

We are in the process of renegotiating our waste removal contract to include recycling.

Are the trees being trimmed by the onsite landscapers?

No.  We use professional arborists to trim the trees.

There are a lot of weeds around mail box areas.  Who is responsible to maintain and clean these areas?

The area around the mailboxes is the responsibility of the adjacent homeowner and not part of the HOA’s landscape agreement.

Can I pay my assessments online?

Yes.  Follow the link from the home page that says “Pay Your Bill”.

I received a violation notice in the mail.  I have corrected the issue before receiving the letter.  Is there anything I should do?

Yes.  Take a picture of the issue and email it to our AAM Community Manager Michael Woolington along with pertinent information so that it can be recorded as being corrected.

I received fines for violations that I believe are in error on the Association’s part.  Is there anything I can do?

Yes.  Contact our AAM Community Manager Michael Woolington and he will put you on the agenda for a meeting with the board for you to appeal your situation either in person or in writing.

It is very dark out here at night.  Why don’t we have street lights everywhere?

When the community was first built, Pinal county had a “dark skies ordinance” meaning the lights had to be very minimal and low emitting.  Therefore, the developer only put in a few lights along the main roads.  Since then, the ordinance has been lifted, however, neither the county nor SRP will pay to have more lights placed within the community.

Why are there only a few sidewalks within the community?

The developer was not required by the County to install sidewalks throughout the community so they didn’t.  The cost is too high for the Association to install them at this time.

It is very difficult to get out of the community during busy traffic times.  Are there plans to put a stop light at Chandler Heights and Gantzel?

No.  The county owns and maintains our roads and it would be up to them to install any traffic signals.  We have contacted Pinal County Public Works numerous times and many of the residents of the community have called as well.  They have stated that they are doing a traffic study on the intersection to see if it warrants a light.  Homeowners are encouraged to call Public Works at 520-509-3555 and request that they install a traffic light.

Are there any plans for speed bumps in the community to slow traffic?

No.  We have discussed them as a board and have talked with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office on the issue as well.  The cost to have them installed is also very high and it slows the response time for emergency responders.  If you notice an increase in speeders in the area, you can call the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and request extra patrol in the neighborhood.

I see graffiti and vandalism in the community and at the parks, is anything being done about it?

Yes.  We always contact the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and make a report then have it fixed or removed as quickly as possible.  If you see vandalism happening please call the Sheriff’s Office so it can be taken care of and perpetrators caught.  If you know of vandalism that has not been addressed or fixed please contact us so that we can get to it.

Why is parking on the street or landscape not being enforced?

It is.  We have the management company out every week to address violations of all kinds.  However, they only work during the daytime so if they don’t see the violation they can’t write it up.  We are still looking for ways to enforce the parking and we accept personal complaints from community members for these issues.  Pictures are always helpful along with license plate numbers and addresses.  See the “Make a Complaint” page.
